The problem:
Macmillan Cancer Support has an amazing reputation. Everyone knows about their nurses and the incredible work they do for people with cancer. But people don’t realise that they do much more, actively improving the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support.
The aim of this campaign was to make people aware of this, and to increase uptake of the services that Macmillan provide.
The insight:
1 in 3 people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer, and all of us will be at least indirectly affected by it at some point in our lives. People need help – but the vast majority simply don’t realise it’s there for them.
The solution:
We created a campaign that told people the facts and made Macmillan feel positive, approachable and supportive. The look and feel we chose set it apart from all other charities, and allowed us to convey whatever we needed to in a simple, creative way.
As a result of the campaign, brand awareness went through the roof, traffic to the website increased by over 2000%, and service uptake rose exponentially
