Monday 17th July 2006 Well it was time to say good-bye to Thailand for a while and make our way to Laos. Another mini van journey and another group of people. Two Americans, two French, two Aussies and us. Clearly we had all been to the same travel agent as were all following the same [...]

Thursday 20th July 2006 Went exploring. Luang Prabang was once under French protection and it really shows in its architecture. Friday 21st Juy 2006 Hired a Taxi for the day to take us to Tat Kuang Si waterfall. Stunning place, great views and er…a big waterfall. Oh, and we managed to get Michelle to jump in off one of the smaller ones in to the swimming area. It gave her a huge wedgy, hilarious.

Tuesday 25th July 2006 Had a lay in and took the 1:30pm bus to Vientiane with the others. Spent the time reading up on accommodation and writing this journal. Arrived mid afternoon and bartered with a Tuk tuk driver to take us to a few guesthouses on our shortlist. Ha, getting good at this bartering [...]
